The Litchfield Public Library serves approximately 12,000 residents of the City of Litchfield and the surrounding rural area of Meeker County, Minnesota. The 24,300 residents of Meeker County are also served by libraries in Cosmos, Dassel, and Grove City. The Library is governed by a nine-member Board of Trustees and has eight permanent staff members. Litchfield Public Library is a member of the Pioneerland Library System, a consolidated system of 31 libraries in south central Minnesota.
