Litchfield Watercade July 5-8, 2012
The weekend immediately following Independence Day/Fourth of July, is Litchfield’s biggest annual celebration. Activities include a golf tournament, parade, Art in the Park, medallion hunt, 4-mile run, fishing contest, kiddie parade, fireworks display, and Little Crow water ski show. The finale is the queen coronation that includes the crowning of the new Miss Litchfield and princesses.
Forest City Stockade Rendezvous: August 20-21, 2011
Step back in time at a replica of a fort built during the 1862 Dakota Conflict. Enjoy a variety of old fashioned activities, demonstrations and food. See the reconstructed period buildings including the newspaper office, church, woodwright shop, gun shop, pottery and candle making shop and school.
Forest City Pioneer Christmas: December 3, 2011
Held at the Forest City Stockade, the winter holiday theme includes horse-drawn sleigh rides, visit with Santa, Christmas caroling and ornament making. There is plenty of food and other activities going on as well.
