Indexes on the Web:
There are a number of indexes on
the Internet that can be searched at no cost. The indexer may, however,
charge anywhere from $1.95 to $15 or more for the full text of the articles.
Free copies of nearly all of these articles can be requested from your
nearest public library on interlibrary loan.

- The National Agricultural Library provides citations to articles, reports,
reprints, and chapters from books about agriculture.

(Medline) - The National Library of Medicine provides access to over 11
million citations in medical journals.

ERIC
- The U.S. Department of Education indexes journal articles and other publications
concerned with teaching and learning. Almost all of the articles and documents
can be requested on interlibrary loan. |

FindArticles.com
- LookSmart provides this index to over 300 magazines and journals about
the arts and entertainment, cars and other vehicles, business and finance,
computers and technology, health and fitness, home and family, news and
society, education, and sports. Most of the articles are in full-text and
can be printed, free, from this site. |

MnLINK
Databases:
The Minnesota Legislature
appropriates funds for MINITEX, a publicly supported network of over 200
academic, public, state agency, and special libraries, and for the Library
Development Service of the Minnesota Department of Children, Families,
and Learning, to make a variety of electronic databases available to all
Minnesotans as the Electronic Library of
Minnesota. South-central Minnesotans can
search these databases at libraries or from home, school, or office. Just
enter your library card barcode and last name (password) in MnLINK's patron
authentication form!

Reference Center and Expanded
Academic ASAP - Indexes articles from
2,045 general interest and business magazines and journals (with 1200 in
full text) and 2,600 academic journals (with 1400 in full text). The General
Reference Center includes the full text for the past 2 years of Knight
Ridder newspaper articles, and indexes these newspapers:
New York Times,
Wall Street Journal, and Christian Science Monitor.
General
Reference Center has the full text of over 15 reference books including
