The Historic Litchfield Public Library

In 1904, The Litchfield Public Library began its tradition of service in the stately Carnegie library building at the corner of Sibley Avenue and Commercial Street. In 1979, it was moved to its "temporary" location in the former First State Bank building at 135 Sibley Avenue North. Litchfield and its surrounding area have continued to grow and prosper throughout the years.  In addition, technology has grown and impacted library and media services in a way no one could have ever imagined.
