Winter/Spring 2010 Our regularly scheduled programs begin with Toddler Time for children ages birth through 2. We sing songs, dance, use our words, read a short book, and
have fun on Wednesdays from 10:15-10:45. Toddler Time begins January 13, and ends May 12 On Thursdays from 7:00 – 7:45 p.m. we will offer Bedtime Story Time for children of all ages. Children may wear
their pajamas! Please note that we’re changing back to our original time. We read books, sing, dance, and always end with a special good night song. Bedtime Story Time begins January 14, and ends May 13.
On Fridays children ages 3-6 are invited to Preschool Story Time. We sing songs, read books, dance, and have fun while building a foundation for reading. Preschool Story Time is scheduled for Fridays from 10-11:00, beginning
January 15, and ending May 14. The popular After School Book Club for grades 3-6 begins January 14 with the book Home of the Brave, by Katherine Applegate. We meet on the 2nd Thursdays
of each month from 3:15 - 4:30, beginning January 14, and ending May 13. We are reading the books nominated for the 2010 Maud Hart Lovelace Award, and will vote in March for the books that we think should win. In April and
May we’ll look at books nominated for this year’s Newbery Award. Fun with 4-H @ the Library for grades K-5 returns Thursday, January 28. This great program will meet on the 4th
Thursdays of each month from 3:15-4:30, beginning January 28 and ending May 27. This collaboration between the library and Meeker County Extension Service provides a 4-H experience that emphasizes having fun while
learning. Darcy Cole, Meeker County 4-H Program Coordinator is our special guest each month. Other interesting programs are planned for the New Year in addition to these weekly events, so watch for
announcements as the schedule is updated. The library should be busier than ever as we head into 2010! |
