The Meeker County Museum Has

Biographies: Materials for individuals and families.

Books: Meeker County Histories, 1888 and 1988, LAmson's 1939 Books, A.C. Smith's 1877, P.J. Casey's 1968 histories, Wilmot's Medical Men of Meeker County, and Valley of Eden, which covers the Eden Valley-Watkins area.
Cemetary books that list 12,000 burials.

Churches: Various anniversary booklets, histories and information on early members. Some photos.

G.A.R.: Records of Civil War Veterans.

Maps: Maps and plat books from several years, 1874 being the earliest. Many show names of the landowners.
Newspapers: A fairly complete collection of Litchfield newspapers back to 1870. Microfilmed copies of the newspaper are at the Public Library.

Military Records: Minnesota Military roster through the first world war.

Obituaries: An index to help find over 27,500 obituaries of county residents.

Oral Histories: Tapes and interviews with local residents describing the early days in the county.

Photographs: Large collection of photographs, some identified, others unidentified.

Annuals from LHS.

The Meeker County Courthouse has birth/death/marriage/court/land/probate and tax records.

The Public Library has Meeker County census records 1865-1920.

The past few months there has been a good deal of interest in the downtown district of Litchfield.
